Pippa El Derby is the youngest member of the renowned Hutton family and has been riding horses for as long as she can remember — quite literally, "since before she was born!"
Her equestrian journey began with showing ponies both astride and side saddle, riding a variety of horses and ponies that were trained from scratch at the family-run Talland School of Equitation. This early experience laid the foundations for a successful career in dressage and coaching.
Today, Pippa teaches regularly at Talland and is also in demand as a freelance trainer across the UK and internationally, with coaching engagements taking her as far as Dubai, Trinidad and Croatia.
Known for her encouraging approach and infectious enthusiasm, Pippa has a special talent for helping younger riders develop their dressage skills. She is equally respected for her ability to build confidence in riders of all ages and abilities, creating positive partnerships between horse and rider.
Alongside coaching, Pippa continues to develop and produce a talented string of young horses. She is passionate about the training process and is excited to return to competition with both her home-trained and homebred horses.
